End of year recap
I am now 363 days into my 1001 days and I have completed 34 of my 101 things!
In the past few weeks I have completed #8, #52, #67, and #76
8. Invite friends over to cook a meal together. On December 18 I had 8 people over and I cooked dinner. It was somewhat like a traditional Christmas dinner with ham, turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and rolls. This has become a yearly tradition with my friends and next year I want to do more of a cocktail party.

52. Make a quilt to give as a gift. It was a pillow but I did quilt it!

67. Get a massage. I got a massage, manicure and pedicure from Mindy!! She gives the best massages.
76. Have a picnic. While on a 60 mile off road drive Tyler and I had a picnic.

I have also made progress on # 22 ,#32 and #2!
22. Go to at least 3 national parks two of out three complete (Yosemite, Joshua Tree)
Tyler and I went to Joshua Tree National Park December 26-29.

32. Go camping 5 times four out of 5 complete. We camped at White Tank in Joshua Tree

2. Try 30 new recipes. Another new recipe green beans with butter, lemon juice and toasted almonds, pumpkin delight, breakfast burritos (while camping)

#19 Complete the San Diego Susan G. Komen 3 Day! I had decided to do the San Diego 3 Day more than one year ago and I did it! Day One started at 4:30am. Tyler dropped me off at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Pit stop #1 Yummy peanut butter and jelly graham cracker sandwiches.

Out sign that we made at the Expo back in June! Actual Day One mileage 23.9 miles

Day Two started out raining :(
But towards the end of the day a beautiful rainbow.
Day Two complete! Day two mileage unknown but more than 20!

Oct 16th update, #50, #56
50. Take a quilt making class. I took my first quilt making class on Oct. 6. Although I am not finished with the quilt I have completed all the stitchery. I will post pictures once I have completed the quilt.
56. Make cork board. Thanks to my wonder husband for all his help on this one!
#2 Try 30 new recipes. I made baked ziti for the first time. Sorry I didn't take a picture. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I put veggies in it.
I also made an autumn salad with red wine vinaigrette which I liked but will change the dressing a little.
While my dad was here back in September I made chicken breasts stuffed with garlic and herbed goat cheese. Of these three new dished the stuffed chicken was my favorite.
Sorry no pictures :( But all three recipes are from the Oct. 2007 Cooking Light Magazine.
