Matzo Ball Soup

I made matzo ball soup on January 13, 2010. I liked how the soup turned out but the matzo balls were a little dense. Next time I plan to add baking soda and a little club soda.

#92 Complete!

Today I sent 17 Christmas cards some were from this year and some were from last year to St. Jude’s Ranch. I got this idea from The Nest.

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children serves all abused, abandoned and neglected children and families, creating new chances, new choices and new hope in a safe, homelike environment. The Recycled Card Program that I donated cards to turns the previous year’s Christmas cards into "new" cards for the coming season. The children participate in making the new cards by removing the front and attaching a new back. The result is a beautiful new card made by the children and volunteers. The benefits are two-fold: customers receive "green" holiday cards for use and the children receive payment for their work and learn the benefits and importance of "going green". If you would like to donate cards or purchase cards check out St. Jude's Ranch website.

Great start to 2010!

On January 1, 2010 Tyler and I met Kevin and Karla my in-laws at the Rose Parade. Tyler and I drove from San Diego to Ontario on December 31 so we would have a shorter drive on New Years Day. We woke up at 5:30 am to get to the parade by 7 am. We found good seats on Colorado Blvd near Greenwood Ave. I had a great time.
